We continue our fantastic journey through time with an excursion to Arcevia, once Rocca Contrada, founded as a municipality in 1201 and remained one of the most important cities in the Marca throughout the Middle Ages, conquering walled villages and territories. The nine castles, still visible in the municipality of Arcevia, which between the 13th and 15th centuries became the strategic-military fortified garrisons indispensable for the defense of the territory and the city, still maintain the urban layout and walls of the medieval period.
