From the deep blue of the sea to the "little Tibet of the Marche" to fabulous medieval villages

Long Weekend 25-26-27-28 April 2024 - 4 days/3 nights



A magical and mysterious place, hidden between narrow gorges, awaits us for a fantastic weekend, suspended between sky and earth and sea, where eagles dare their mighty flight and the mountain opens its depths, showing absurd and unimaginable worlds, " last but not least” sea views of heartbreaking beauty.
  • We will do the entire circumnavigation of Monte Conero , where we will really see everything we can see in this park, always accompanied by breathtaking sea views.
  • We will start from the singular village of Elcito , up to the summit of Monte San Vicino
(1479 m), the route is called the "little Tibet of the Marche" because it has similarities with the famous Asian plateau. A “ring” that you will hardly forget.
  • We will see the KT limit , a site where Iridium is present, a metal not present on Earth, caused by the impact of the asteroid in Chicxulub (Mexico) 60 million years ago, leading to the extinction of the dinosaurs. There are only three sites in Italy, 2 of which are in the Marche and one in Umbria.
  • With an easy trek, we will visit the ancient church of Sant'Ansovino from the 11th century full of mysterious symbols, and the delightful fortified village of Avacelli .
  • The Abbey of S. Vittore alle Chiuse , also from the 11th century, and the paleontological museum where a beautiful fossil of an Ichthyosaur is preserved could not be missed.
  • We will visit the village of Pierosara and walk the famous "glasses" path with an impressive landscape of the Frasassi Gorge.
  • We will visit the beautiful "Tempietto del Valadier" and the ancient church of Santa Maria Infra Saxa
  • Visit to the spectacular Frasassi Caves.
